Film
@ Fram presents: Ghosts (PG)
This fact based film (2006) by Director
Nick Broomfield re-enacts the events leading up to the Morecombe
Bay tragedy of 2004. A cast of non professionals (often playing
themselves) with hand held cameras, natural light and true life
locations follows the plight of Ai Qui Lin, a mother and illegal
immigrant and 23 other Chinese cockle pickers and their appalling
conditions of virtual slavery. A losing battle for survival.

Ukulele
Orchestra of Great Britain
-
event sold out!
The Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain is warm, entertaining,
thought-provoking and funny. You may never think about music
in the same way once you've been exposed to the Ukes' depraved
musicology. From Charlie Parker to the Sex Pistols through Johann
Sebastian Bach, the Orchestra take you on a world tour with
only hand luggage....
"I watched, stunned, as this most diminutive of four-string
guitars morphed from undergrown wallflower to belle of the ball
: I think I love the ukulele." Andrew Dickson, Guardian
Unlimited.
"The best musical entertainment in the country."
The Independent.
