The Hurd sound ranges from the sweetly tender to the positively raucous! Since their inception late in 2008, it soon became apparent that their diverse experience was going to produce something a little different! Their line up - Christine Truman (hurdy gurdies, recorder and passionate about French dance music ), Steve Lock (bassoon, soprano sax and one of the premier repairers of wind instruments in East Anglia) and Steve Smith (guitar, mandolin and performer with London Sinfonietta, Glyndebourne Opera and the Chamber Orchestra of Lapland) turns a few heads, making 'The Hurd' an emergent voice on the folk scene.
